Accessing Remote Learning

Remote learning – principles

  • As a school, we believe in the following:
  • Sancroft and our staff remain connected to our community
  • Students are provided with structured, sequenced varied activities that reflect our current curriculum and the demands of different year groups.
  • Students receive feedback related to completed work according to the Elevator Feedback Model: targeted work is marked in detail at least once per half-term in each subject.
  • Google Classroom and school email remain the main communication tools.
  • We are working in a fast-changing environment.

How will I learn if I am self-isolating?

The Sancroft curriculum is available online at all times. Students can access material for each lesson taught in school via Google Classroom. Each subject provides lesson by lesson slides and/or other material to support learning remotely.

In the event Sancroft enters a partial or full lockdown, for example if one year group is required to access their learning remotely, students are to attend lessons remotely at the time of their timetabled lesson, including AM and PM registration:

  1. Visit the subject’s Google Classroom.
  2. Click the ‘Meet link’ at the top of the page.
  3. Click Join now

In the event of staff absence, lesson material will be accessible via Google Classroom.

I feel valued as a member of staff. I like the fact the school has a clear vision, a vision that I feel a part of.

Every single person who works at the school contributes to who I am. It truly is a special place where we are all one big family.
